Hey there! Here’s another illustration I made last summer, it seems like I did this ages ago, a lot of stuff happened since I finished it but I’m not going to talk about it. This is my last “piece of art” I did before going back to London. I was inspired by a Youtuber’s hair colour, she’s awesome by the way. I’ll put a link to her channel HERE.
I wanted to do something hipstery (I don’t like all that hipster stuff that’s going on later but I like some of the aesthetic), related to the fantasy but I also wanted to practice female face, lights, shadows, (and I also wanted to try my new CintiQ 13HD, I’m in love with it ♥.)

Hola! Aquí hay otra ilustración que hice el verano pasado, me da la sensación de que lo hice hace siglos, un montón de cosas han pasado desde que terminé, pero no voy a hablar de eso. Esta es la última “obra de arte” que hice antes de volver a Londres. Me inspiré en el color del pelo de una Youtuber, ella es impresionante por cierto. Voy a poner un enlace a su canal AQUÍ. Quería hacer algo hipstery (no me gusta todo este rollo hipster que hay últimamente, pero me gusta un poco de la estética), relacionada con la fantasía, pero también quería practicar un rostro femenino, las luces, las sombras, (y también quería probar mi nueva CintiQ 13HD, estoy enamorado de ella ♥.)

The first thing I did was look for some references and then I started the sketch with photoshop in blue. I don’t really care usually about using one color or the other for the sketch when I’m using photoshop but lately I like to use blue.
Lo primero que hice fue buscar algunas referencias y luego empecé el boceto con photoshop en azul. En realidad no me importa usar un color u otro para hacer los bocetos en photoshop pero últimamente me gustar usar el azul.
Then I added the plain color of the hair, in this case I wanted a gradient from dark violet/lilac to a lighter one. I usually work in different layers and groups, depending on the colors, shadows, lights and the parts of the drawing.
Entonces añadí el color base del pelo, en este caso quería un degradado de color violeta/lila oscuro a uno más claro. Suelo trabajar en diferentes capas y grupos, en función de los colores, las sombras, las luces y las partes del dibujo.
When I was done with all the plain colors I hid the face one and started adding some shadows.
Cuando terminé con todos los colores base escondí el de la cara y empezé a añadir algunas sombras.
Then I added the rest of the elements of the face.
Entonces añadí el resto de elementos de la cara.
And put some shadows on the hair, lips, flowers, etc.
Y puse algunas sombras en el pelo, labios, flores, etc.
I added the highlights and put more color on the girl’s face such as pink on the cheeks.
Añadí las luces y ouse algunos colores más en la cara de la chica, como el rosa de las mejillas.
When I thought I was done (more like I had enough because I’m never done, never good enough) I worked really fast on a background and added it to the rest of the piece, and done!
Cuando creí haber terminado (más bien cuando ya tube suficiente porque tunca he terminado del todo, nunca es lo suficientemente bueno ) trabaje rápidamente en el fondo y lo añadí al resto de la pieza, y listo.
