I was very lazy about my blog this last couple of months, I just couldn't help it, not that anyone reads this, I'm just doing it for myself so I wasn't in a hurry, but at the end a few LootAnime boxes accumulated, so, here are all of them.
April's box theme was 'MUSIC'. Here's a picture with all the stuff that came in the box.
First thing in the box are these earphones, they're not bad, they don't look like they're really good quality but they are retractile, that's nice, and they're from some anime that I don't know (Shingan Crimsonz). In general, not bad, they're handy and useful, everyone uses earphones, so that's nice. Although I didn't use them because earphones are usually too big for my ears and I can't fit them properly, I prefer headphones or just the generic ones that come with my iPod that suck anyway.
The second this is this lanyard, one of the most useless things you could have and yet once I bought one of Slytherin but I must say it had a Hogwarts Express ticket so, it wasn't that bad. But really, I find lanyards useless unless you're going to comic con or any other convention where you can use it. The lanyard is Tokidoki and Miku (Vocaloid) collaboration, it'd cute but that's it.
The third item, a manga. I don't like when they put manga inside the box, even less when they're the first first volume. I'm not going to start a new collection, sorry. And I¡m not going to do even read them if they're Shojo or the main thing involves feelings and all that shit, no way, not into that, they're boring as fuck and very predictable, also, I'm not a teenager anymore.
Fourth item, another useless thing. A glow stick in the shape of a leek. I have no idea how the hell am I supposed to use this plush that lights. It's a fucking leek! And fyi, in general, I don't like plushies.
The fifth item is a very cute blanket of Hatsune Miku, not a good choice in April to half of the world where it started to be warm, but that's not a big deal, that's okay. It's cute, this one is useful, but it's too small. I'm an adult and I'm average size, I would like to have my feet and my arms warm at the same time.
The last thing is as almost always a T-shirt. There's nothing special about the design, a bit cowoded for my taste, the colours are cool but I don't know this anime (Hypersonic Music Club). Still, it's a tshirt, so it's useful.
And lastly, as always, the phone charm, this time it looked like it wasn't as good quality as the other times, I wasn't too thrilled by the design.
In general, not too happy about April's box.
May's box theme was 'UNITY', I think that theme is a bit ethereal but whatever. Here's a picture with everything that's inside the box.
The second thing is a metallic Super Saiyan Goku, which I really liked because I didn't have any of the Dragon Ball Funko Pop! but I'm sure some people already had Son Goku and I don't think a metallic version is such a big difference from the original, unless you're a huge fan and you need every single Pop! figure. But in general it was really cool.
The third item is a doormat of Fullmetal Alchemist, I know a few things about it but I never read or watched it, so I'm not a fan of the serie, although I think the concept is pretty cool, but the shape of the doormat is not very practical and it's a bit thin, I have it on my room and I don't really use it, but it looks nice.
The fourth thing was a tshirt. It's a Yo-kai Watch tshirt, it's nice, I like it but again, I don't follow this serie, maybe that's my problem, that I don't watch most of the manga or anime series that are out nowadays, or that I'm not a teenager anymore.
The last item is the phone charm, this month's charm is a couple, you're supposed to give one to your bestie or something like that, they're nice, better than the previous month, but again, those kind of things are more for teenagers than for grownups, I would like to know the average age of the people that's subscribed to this box.
And lastly here's this month's box, the theme is 'VICTORY' and here's a picture with all the stuff inside the box.
First thing inside is another plush! Yay... why?! It's a cute Nintendo squid but it's still a fucking plush! I don't like plushes! Of course they're not doing the box exclusively for me but they did four plushies afair in the last four boxes.
The second item was another manga, this one about biking, because everyone loves biking... Again the first volume of a series. It would be nice, at least, to get a manga that was just one volume. I have no interest in biking so, again, this is not for me.
Third item in the box is a water bottle from Free, I don't read or watch Free but I know a few things about it. It's a good item, useful, not very useful for me though, but it's an okay item even if you don't know or care about the manga or anime that this is about.
Also, the images appear or disappear depending on the temperature of the water, useful if you want to know if the water inside it cold or not, or you can just touch the bottle, that's another option.
Fourth thing is a t-shirt. At the begining when I read the back I was excited because I read Shohoku and I thought for a second about Slam Dunk but then I realised that it had nothing to do with that, it's not even the right colour. Anyway it's a Yowamushi Pedal T-shirt, it looks like a biking maillot, it's okay I guess.
The fifth thing is a stupid item, sorry, it is. It's a Free luggage tag but the quality is not even there. It's flimsy and it will probably break on the first flight, the blue water inside would be over your suitcase when you go collect your luggage. I don't get why they do that kind of luggage tag, it needs to be better quality.
The last thing, the phone charm, it's a nice design, good quality, it's kind of sad the the best thing in the box is the charm, but that's the case almost all the time.
I also took pictures of the inside of the box, I only keep some of these boxes either because I need them or because the design on the inside was cool. I didn't keep this one but it's okay.
So, in general, I'm not liking the LootAnime boxes, I had a year subscription so I'm going to keep receiving them until March but I unsubscribed alread, I didn't like the items, the quality, the posters (not the art but I don't think anyone has a house big enough to put all the posters!), the kind of vibe that I was getting from the box is that it's targeted to a younger public, not someone my age. So, this is not a box for me, I'm going to stick to the Lootcrate and maybe give a try to the LootFemale that I hope it's not just a box like Lootcrate but with female characters but more like geeky items directed to women, like makeup, female clothes and that stuff, otherwise I'll try it for a couple of months and then I'll give up.
